14 Years -- Cocaine Possession With Intent to Distribute

My name is Tamala Woods, I am 27 years old. I am single and have never been married. I have no children. It is my sincere prayer that I may be released soon so that I may in fact start a family. I do very much want to have children.

I am serving 170 months for an illegal stop and search of my car by the State of Texas Police. I was supposedly stopped for not wearing a seat-belt. To make a long story short, I am not denying my involvement in this crime. I am taking full responsibility for my actions before my arrest. I was a consumer of drugs and have a very serious drug problem.

I was not a dealer of drugs, but was addicted to cocaine for many years. I am now serving time as a kingpin. My life has been destroyed. I only wish that drug treatment would have been available for me, which I had requested. I hope that by telling my story, others may listen and learn about the injustices being done.
