Joseph William Henry #31913-138

In 1992 I was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison after being found guilty of possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and for being a felon in possession of a gun.

This is not a "I've been done wrong song." In 1975 I was convicted of an armed bank robbery.

I have some points of concern however. In light of CIA involvement in the drug trade - how is it our government penalizes crack cocaine law violations at a 100 to 1 ratio?

Crack cocaine was intentionally introduced into the Black and other poor communities as a policy decision to raise funds to support an international war. Crack sentences must reflect fairness and they should be adjusted.

I know that I am the master of all my own circumstances and therefore I am the only master who can free me or not. I write not to highlight any aspect of my case - but to stress these considerations for the common good of all and no other.
